Fany Ducat Company

Fany Ducat unites the artistic aspirations of Alice De Cat, Charles-Hippolyte Chatelard and Antonin Jenny. The formation of an ASBL is a concrete demonstration of their collective approach to past and future projects.

Although the terms “lighting designer” (for Alice De Cat), “set designer” (for Charles-Hippolyte Chatelard) and “director” (for Antonin Jenny) are used in press kits and other documents, on stage, all artistic, aesthetic and technical decisions are made in consultation between the three.

Their approach entails reinforcing a work cohabitation that began in January 2017 around Antonin and Alice’s end-of-study work (Les Falaises), for which Charles-Hippolyte had joined them upon their invitation. With this first group attempt, the trio pursued their work by presenting a short piece at the XS festival in March 2018 (Mes bras connaissent).

Fany Ducat had the opportunity to co-produce her first show: the long format revival of Les Falaises, presented at Théâtre les Tanneurs in January 2020.

As an associate artist of the Théâtre Les Tanneurs, the company has been able to create and perform its “theatrical series” of four episodes: Les Falaises, Luc, Corinne, Alain et Stéphane (presented in September 2020), Philipot (presented in September 2021) and Mes bras connaissent (presented in October 2022). Subsequently, Fany Ducat aims to pursue her research by producing several shows combining original writing (especially for six hands), contemporary texts and classics, aimed at an adult or young audience.
