Kunstenfestivaldesarts
Kunstenfestivaldesarts is an international performing arts festival dedicated to contemporary theatre, dance, performance and visual arts. Every year, it takes place in Brussels during three weeks in May. For the very first time, we are honored to welcome the center of the festival at the Theater Les Tanneurs.
The programme for the 31st edition of the Kunstenfestivaldesarts has been unveiled. Get ready for three weeks of theatre, contemporary dance, performance art and visual arts — a celebration of artistic creation featuring artists from all over the world.
Tickets go on sale on 8 April at 1pm, online or at the box office at Théâtre Les Tanneurs.
Festival Center
For the very first time, the festival centre is based at Théâtre Les Tanneurs, an artists’ collective and theatre workshop in the heart of the Marolles district. The festival centre is their base, a meeting place where everyone is welcome: audiences, professionals, artists, teams or simply those who are curious. You can enjoy a meal or a drink there, take part in an activity as part of the Free School, dance in the evening as part of their nightlife programme, or visit the bookshop set up by the specialist bookshop rile*, featuring a selection of books that tie in with the festival programme. This year, there will also be karaoke evenings in collaboration with Habib Ben Tanfous and a series of late-night talk sessions with Carolina Bianchi. In addition to these activities, there are several performances to discover at the Théâtre Les Tanneurs : Repertório N.1 by Davi Pontes & Wallace Ferreira and Ridden by Leu Wijee & Mio Ishida.
Nightlife
Once again, festival weekends are all about partying, including our unmissable opening (08.05) and closing (30.05) parties. These nights are free and open to all, featuring DJ sets and live music by artists from Brussels and around the world.
