European project Open Door
Open Door is a project resulting of the collaboration between Murmuris and the Theater Les Tanneurs, that aims to innovate in the continuous professional development of theatre educators, and increase training opportunities in this sector.
The project is developed in collaboration with Théâtre Les Tanneurs (Brussels) and aligns with the priority of fostering innovation in vocational education and training. It focuses on creating new pedagogical tools and innovative methodologies for theatre educators, aiming to enhance their professional skills.
The objective is not only to update content but to rethink the educational approach entirely in order to respond to the expectations and cultural practices of new generations. Indirectly, the project promotes social inclusion through the values of active citizenship and democratic participation. Integration and inclusion represent key principles guiding the collaborative process.
Another priority is ensuring equal participation in the programme for all citizens, fully respecting the right to gender equality and the right to non-discrimination based on sex, racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age, or sexual orientation.
Specific Objectives
· Strengthen the professional competences of theatre educators by integrating new engagement methods that respond to the rapid social and cultural changes experienced by younger generations.
· Develop innovative theatre education strategies tailored to diverse youth groups, including those from disadvantaged social backgrounds.
· Improve the quality of work and inclusive practices of the participating organisations through transnational exchange of innovative and creative practices.
