CRUSH
- Festival
CRUSH – the new biennial theatre festival in Brussels – will take place from 9 to 12 December 2026 at Théâtre Les Tanneurs, Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles, Théâtre le Rideau and Varia – Théâtre & Studio. Four days to discover our 11 favourite new theatre productions in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
Born out of the desire of our four Brussels-based theatres to pool our perspectives and sensibilities, the CRUSH festival showcases stand-out French-language Belgian productions, characterized by diverse aesthetics and unique voices. The aim of the festival is clear: to offer both artists and their works an ambitious platform, to create the conditions for performances, ideas and imaginations to genuinely circulate and to foster encounters with new audiences, in Belgium and beyond.
For spectators, itineraries have been designed to guide them from one theatre to another, allowing them to explore Brussels as they take in the performances and discover the diversity of productions that make up our artistic landscape.
For Belgian and international professionals, a specific programme is on offer: presentations of projects in development, opportunities for discussion, and exclusive dialogue sessions with the artistic teams. CRUSH thus becomes a space for talent scouting, networking and looking to the future.
By bringing together artists, programmers and spectators, the biennial strengthens the artistic network between Brussels, Wallonia and the international scene. It affirms a shared dynamic: that of a living, contemporary, open theatre, capable of fostering dialogue between regions and inventing new forms of circulation.
CRUSH is about sharing favourites — and about the collective energy of four venues.
